The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that midfielder Arturo Alvarez and forward Ryan Johnson were called up to their national teams for international friendlies. Alvarez was named to El Salvador’s roster for their friendly on Sept. 7 against Guatemala in Washington D.C. at RFK Stadium. Ryan Johnson has been named to the roster for the Jamaican national team for two upcoming international friendlies. The first of the two is Sunday, Sept. 5 against Costa Rica at the National Soccer Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. Johnson and the Reggae Boyz will then travel to take on Peru on Tuesday, Sept.

This world cup has been a giant killer...never would someone have predicted Italy, France, England, Brazil, the list goes on and on, to go down so early on in the tournament. This Sunday 7/11/2010 will be the World Cup Final; this is it for 4 more years. (well at least 2 more years until the Euro Cup) So find a seat and enjoy the match between Spain and Holland. It promises to be a great match.

The Club Quake Tailgate Party is Back!

Remember how we used to party with Club Quake before every weekend game at Spartan Stadium? This season we can do it again!

Starting with this Saturday’s season opener, when the Quakes take on Real Salt Lake, come tailgate with us at the northeast corner of Parking Lot 4. We’re just behind the Quakes office located at xxxx Campbell Avenue, at the far right corner of the parking lot. Look for the Club Quake banner and listen for the music.
